Anna Paquin was born in New Zealand and raised in Canada. She is a New Zealand-Canadian actor who has been in movies like X-Men, X-Men, and Fly Away Home. She had not planned to pursue a career in acting, however fate decided otherwise. Many of the offers she received after the film's first success in order to pursue her education. The film returned at age 14 to play the character of the mutant Rogue in X-Men The first movie in the X-Men film series. This role brought international fame to her. She continued to play 'Rogue in 'X-Men,' and also re-enacting the character in other sequels such as X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. She has also appeared on small screens, including as Elaine Goodale, in a film called 'Bury My Heart in Wounded Knee. For the role she played she received nominations for her first Emmy nomination. Once she was available, she received many offers to act in TV series, including "True Blood" as well as "Flack."
