Meredith Salenger

Salenger grew up in Malibu. She was a performer for loved ones and relatives as an early child. As young as eight years old, her mother brought her to her very first class in acting. Her first role was as an 'orphan who sings and dances for the feature film Annie written by John Huston. Salenger has also appeared in a range of commercials on television. Salenger played her first lead role as a lead actress in The Journey of Natty Gann which was the Disney movie that starred John Cusack with Ray Wise. It was the very first US film to earn the Gold Award from the Moscow Film Festival. It also won her "Best actor in a drama" at the Youth in Film Awards for her portrayal of the tomboyish Natty Gann. In addition, she appeared in four films before she turned aged 18. One of her films was A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. In the following year, she was accepted to Harvard for further education.
